Sorin Mierlea, President of InfoCons, will participate in the opening ceremony of the International Junior Science Olympiad.

The event will take place on December 3, 2024, at the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest, in the “C.A. Rosetti” Hall, between 12:00 and 14:00.

Romania has the honor of hosting the 21st edition of the International Junior Science Olympiad in Bucharest from December 2 to December 12, 2024. This is an interdisciplinary competition in the natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology).

Since 2004, Romanian students have participated in every edition of this Olympiad, achieving remarkable results with numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals. Over the years, the International Junior Science Olympiad has been held in various countries, including South Africa, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Botswana, Brazil, Taipei, Colombia, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, the Netherlands, Qatar, and Thailand.

This year’s edition will bring together students and teachers from 55 countries, with each country being represented by a team of 6 students and 3 leaders.
