The InfoCons App, unique at an international level, independently and transparently developed, provides you with :
- Scanning QR codes from the energy labels of household appliances and electronic devices;
- Scanning barcodes of agri-food products to find out ingredients, the number and type of food additives, allergens, sugar content, salt, and calories;
- All useful and emergency numbers at local, national, and international levels;
- Alerts for food and non-food products;
- Waiting times at Romania’s border crossing points;
- Verification of travel agencies, accommodation units (hotels, guesthouses, hostels, etc.), and licensed and authorized public food establishments in Romania;
- A dictionary of terminology in the fields of consumer protection, environment, banking and finance, labor, insurance, energy, etc.;
- Up to three free personalized QR codes for users with an account in the app. You can monitor the scan traffic of your QR codes and more;
- The possibility to receive “rewards” by completing daily and/or unique actions available in the My Account section.
The FREE European InfoCons App is available in 33 languages and supports consumers with useful, accurate, transparent, and easy-to-understand information!
Whether in a supermarket or at home, consumers can scan the barcodes of products they want to purchase or consume to access all label information in a fraction of a second. Moreover, after scanning the barcode, the InfoCons app alerts consumers about the number and names of allergens found in the scanned product. Consumers can also rate products they scan or have saved in their list by giving them 1 to 5 stars.
