A representative of InfoCons is participating in the meeting organized by Consumers International

On May 13, 2024, a representative from InfoCons is participating in the members’ meeting organized by Consumers International on the Zoom online platform. The main theme of this meeting is generating national and global impact through advocacy for green claims.

During the meeting, representatives of BEUC (the European Consumer Organization) will present successful examples in advancing legislation and campaigns for green claims, which are accurate and reliable, from across the European Union.

Another important topic will concern the negotiations on plastic in Canada (which took place during April 23-29, 2024) and the ongoing discussions on the Global Plastics Treaty.

Representatives from several global consumer protection organizations will share their own experiences regarding green claims and combating plastic, as well as how national and global legislation can be improved in these areas.
