The meeting forms part of the Consumer (Re)generation – CoRe Project, a new initiative promoted by Cittadinanzattiva in partnership with EEKE (Greece) and InfoCons (Romania), and co-funded by the European Union.

The project seeks to create effective pathways for consumer education in schools while raising awareness among European institutions about the need to embed consumer rights education in a consistent, systematic, and long-term manner.

What is the Consumer (Re)generation – CoRe Project ?

The European Single Market is characterized by an imbalance between consumers and businesses. Limited awareness of consumer rights, a weak culture of complaint, and the spread of unfair commercial practices—both online and offline—leave citizens vulnerable. Young people, in particular, are disproportionately affected by such practices.

The CoRe Project aims to equip citizens with the knowledge and skills necessary to:

  • make informed and responsible decisions,

  • protect and exercise their rights,

  • and navigate the growing complexity of today’s marketplace.
