On November 28, 2025, Sorin Mierlea, President of InfoCons, is attending the Consumer Policy Advisory Group meeting held in Brussels, Belgium.

The expert group, known as the “Consumer Policy Advisory Group“, was established by the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST) of the European Commission with the aim of bringing together representatives from consumer organizations, civil society, and industry to support the Consumer Agenda. The group consists of 42 members, with Romania being represented by InfoCons.

09:30 – 09:35 — 1. Opening and adoption of the agenda

09:35 – 09:55 — 2. Consumer Policy Pulse

  • Interactive mapping of current consumer policy issues.

09:55 – 11:00 — 3. The 2030 Consumer Agenda and its implementation

  • Presentation by DG JUST on the way forward.
  • Discussion, including how the CPAG can contribute to the implementation of the Consumer Agenda.

11:00 – 11:30 — 4. Coffee Break

11:30 – 11:45 — 5. Launch and demo of new Consumer Conditions Dashboard

11:45 – 12:15 — 6. Updates on the Digital Fairness Act and the possible CPC Review

  • Presentation on the current state of play of the Digital Fairness Act (DFA), including the public consultation.
  • Presentation on the state of reflection on the CPC Review and necessary UCPD transformation.

12:15 – 13:00 — 7. Exchange of good practices in protecting young consumers online

  • Presentations by the Forbrukerrådet (Norwegian Consumer Council) and DOT Europe.
