This meeting is part of the Consumer (Re)generation – CoRe Project, a new initiative promoted by Cittadinanzattiva , EEKE (Greece) and InfoCons (Romania), and co-funded by the European Union.

The project aims to develop effective pathways for consumer education in schools, while also raising awareness among European institutions of the importance of embedding consumer rights education in a consistent, systematic, and long-term manner.

What is the Consumer (Re)generation – CoRe Project ?

The European Single Market is characterized by an imbalance between consumers and businesses. Limited awareness of consumer rights, a weak culture of complaint, and the spread of unfair commercial practices—both online and offline—leave citizens vulnerable. Young people, in particular, are disproportionately affected by such practices.

The Consumer (Re)generation – CoRe Project seeks to equip citizens with the knowledge and skills necessary to:

  • make informed and responsible decisions;

  • protect and effectively exercise their rights;

  • navigate the growing complexity of today’s marketplace.
