This book, a true manual of food education, highlights the fact that a proper diet is a form of preventive medicine, and that the Mediterranean Diet can serve as a sustainable nutritional model based on solid scientific theories, adaptable to individual needs. Through a balanced approach, based on the principles of tradition and science, Professor Carruba’s work promotes the importance of healthy eating and a lifestyle that can prevent serious diseases such as obesity, malnutrition, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorders.
In addition to the presentation of Professor Carruba’s book, the event also aims to open a debate about health, especially the central role of the Mediterranean Diet as a preventive tool, with the participation of a diverse and knowledgeable audience, including nutrition experts, institutional representatives, and related associations. In the context of rapidly changing eating habits, this meeting seeks to highlight the benefits of the Mediterranean Diet as an effective model for promoting health and general well-being.
