Today, April 18, 2024, InfoCons represented by President Sorin Mierlea participates on Economics & Statistics Working Group Meeting the Observatory – European Office for Intellectual Property – EUIPO held in Alicante, Spain.

Today will be discuss :

  • Joint EUIPO/OECD study on China’s Belt and Road Initiative
    The preliminary findings of the EUIPO-OECD study on the impact of China’s Belt and Road Initiative as regards trade in counterfeit goods will be presented, along with an update of the activities of the OECD’s Working Party on Countering Illicit Trade.
  • Update on the Green EUTM study to be published on 26th April
    The main results of the upcoming update of the Green EUTM study, to be published in conjunction with World IP Day which this year has “sustainability” as the theme, will be presented.

Starting with March 2022 – the month dedicated to consumer protection (March 15 – World Consumer Rights Day), InfoCons represents Romania, being a member on behalf of civil societies in the Working Group dedicated to Public Awareness within the Observatory – European Intellectual Property Office.

At the national level, InfoCons has been a member since 2006 in the Working Group on Intellectual Property Issues under the coordination of the Prosecutor’s Office near the High Court of Cassation and Justice.
