Today, November 26, 2024, Sorin Mierlea , President of InfoCons , is participating in an online meeting, organized in the context of the preparatory study for the design of an EU harmonised label for commercial guarantees of durability and an EU harmonised notice for the legal guarantee of conformity, as required by the Directive (EU) 2024/825 on Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition. The meeting will be held via the MS Teams platform.
During the meeting, preliminary results from the study will be shared, outlining research conducted so far. Prototypes of the harmonised label and notice, which will undergo testing in the next study phase with consumers, producers, and traders, will be presented. Participants will have the chance to provide feedback on these prototypes.

The meeting is being organised on behalf of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST) and the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), with the involvement of stakeholder organisations and Member States’ authorities.
