Sorin Mierlea, President of InfoCons, participates today, December 17, 2024, in an online meeting organized by the United Nations’ Department of Economic and Social Affairs . The meeting focuses on the rights of persons with disabilities and is dedicated to a discussion on the ‘UN Report on Disability and Development 2024,’ which examines the global connection between disability and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Speakers will discuss the most recent global analysis based on an unprecedented amount of data, legislation and policies from all countries to understand the socioeconomic circumstances of persons with disabilities worldwide, the progress made so far and the challenges and barriers they still face in their daily lives, including the exacerbated impacts due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
