On February 28, 2025, Sorin Mierlea , President of InfoCons , is participating in the IMPLEMENT Textile Sector Workshop, part of the series “From Vision to Implementation: Shaping Policies to Boost Circular Bio-Based Transition”. Today’s workshop is taking place online via the Zoom platform.
This workshop is organized within the EU-funded SUSTRACK project, which supports policymakers in developing sustainable strategies to transition from fossil and carbon-intensive systems to circular, bio-based alternatives. The event specifically focuses on the textile sector.

The SUSTRACK project brings together policy experts from research, industry, and civil society through a series of workshops designed to:
- Gain insights from keynote speakers on the challenges, policy landscape, and future vision for the textile sector’s transition.
- Explore policy options identified by SUSTRACK to accelerate the shift towards a circular bio-based economy.
- Assess the strengths and weaknesses of these policies while identifying additional opportunities and approaches.
The findings from these discussions will be presented at the online IMPLEMENT Conference on March 21, 2025, serving as key recommendations for policymakers and industry stakeholders to drive forward the circular bio-based transition.
