InfoCons Consumer Protection representatives are participating in the meeting on transparency of sustainability information organized by Consumers International

Today, March 11, 2025, the representatives of InfoCons are attending the meeting on on transparency of sustainability information at the Consumers International Summit, organized on the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day.

Hosted on Zoom, this session – organized by Consumers International – will bring together leading voices to explore why sustainability information needs to be accurate and transparent and why it is a big issue right now.

The discussions will focus on how more than 50% of consumers have lost trust in the sustainability information provided in the marketplace. Unreliable, misleading or absent consumer information can lead to unsafe practices, erode trust, and perpetuate unsustainable consumption.

Therefore, the session will explore how accurate and transparent information help us to make healthy decisions, whilst taking a look at best practice examples and the action needed to put greenwashing in the past.
