Today, June 11, 2025 , Sorin Mierlea , the President of InfoCons , is participating in the General Assembly organized by ANEC : The European consumer voice in standardization , an occasion which also used to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the organization. The event is taking place in Brussels, Belgium .
InfoCons – European Organization for Consumer Protection and Promotion of Programs and Strategies has represented Romania in ANEC : The European consumer voice in standardization since 2012.

What is ANEC : The European consumer voice in standardization ?
ANEC serves as the voice of European consumers in the field of standardization. It represents consumer interests in the development of technical standards, particularly those that support the implementation of European legislation and public policies.
Beyond standard creation, ANEC is also involved in how standards are applied—focusing on areas such as market surveillance, enforcement, accreditation, and conformity assessment systems. The organization actively seeks to shape European laws concerning products and services, especially when standards are referenced.
