“As a European organisation representing families, child safety is a key priority for COFACE Families Europe. The work of ANEC is essential in mainstreaming child safety standards across all child-specific products and beyond.
Our work converged in 2022 when COFACE stepped up awareness-raising on child safety in the home. Accidents can happen in a tight corner; on a staircase with very high steps; with a saucepan, at the bottom of a deep bath… After all, most homes are not made for a child’s size.
The Belgian exhibition ‘House of the Giant’, which toured the whole country in 2022, allowed adults to step into the shoes of a young toddler, experience the dangers and discover useful prevention tips. The support of ANEC in spreading the word to its networks was extremely valuable.
