On October 17, 2025, a representative of InfoCons is participating in a members’ meeting organized by Consumers International, held via the Zoom online platform. The meeting focuses on Elevating the Consumer Voice in Digital Finance .

Digital finance is transforming how consumers spend, save, send, and borrow, bringing new opportunities for inclusion. Yet for millions, especially in low- and middle-income countries, access alone hasn’t delivered resilience.

This meeting organized by Consumers International comes at a pivotal moment in the global conversation. The World Bank Annual Meetings are underway, and the latest Findex report has reignited debate on what true financial inclusion means. As consumers continue to face pressure from inflation, climate shocks, and fast-moving digital risks, the need for financial systems that deliver real protection and resilience is front and centre.

Consumers International’s new insight, Consumer Resilience in Digital Finance responds directly to these challenges. Drawing on research across eight countries and thirteen jurisdictions, and shaped by the expertise of our Members, this report issues a clear call to action to close the gap between protections promised and outcomes delivered.

In this Member Connect, members of Consumers International from across the globe are invited to share local perspectives on what resilience truly looks like in practice. From navigating financial shocks to advocating for fairer systems, consumer organisations are playing a critical role in surfacing risks, shaping solutions, and driving accountability.

The meeting will explore how to embed resilience by design into digital finance, elevate the consumer voice in policy and product development, and strengthen cross-border collaboration. This is a chance to connect, mobilise, and chart a path forward—toward digital finance that truly works for people.
