Today, November 25, 2025, InfoCons, represented by Mr. Sorin Mierlea, the President of InfoCons, is attending the Common Session of the Working Groups within the Observatory – European Office for Intellectual Property – EUIPO. The meeting, organized by EUIPO, is being held online and will cover various topics related to Intellectual Property.

InfoCons is an active member of the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) Observatory, playing a role e in the Civil Society Working Group within the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights. This involvement underscores InfoCons‘ commitment to addressing the challenges posed by intellectual property infringements across Europe.

At the national level, InfoCons has been a member since 2006 in the Working Group on Intellectual Property Issues under the coordination of the Prosecutor’s Office near the High Court of Cassation and Justice.

10:30–11:25 — Latest trends in IP enforcement: consequences for IP enforcement actions
A discussion based on the newly published IP Detention Dashboard and previous reports.
Focus: how recent trends influence future operational priorities.
A panel will reflect on these and related matters.

11:25–11:55 — EUIPO Copyright Knowledge Centre – information tools
Presentation of the newly launched Copyright Interactive Map, offering a unified platform containing Member State copyright information and enabling cross-country comparisons.
Followed by an update on new educational copyright materials.

11:55–11:10 — Coffee Break

11:10–12:25 — EUIPO–OECD study on counterfeiting and abusive labour practices
The first study providing quantitative evidence on the link between counterfeit trade and abusive labour practices.

12:25–12:40 — Next steps for the Working Groups

12:40–13:00 — Influencers and update on studies
Discussion on influencers’ positioning toward IP respect, based on insights from the Influencers & IP survey and feedback from the influencers’ meet-up at Web Summit.
