The attack typically follows these steps:

  • The victim receives a fraudulent link
  • The link redirects the victim to a cloned login page
  • The victim enters their login credentials
  • The attackers collect sensitive data in real time, including:
    • Account passwords
    • Two-factor authentication codes (OTP / PhotoTAN)
    • Bank card details
