InfoCons Consumer Protection and Dr. Mirela Roman, President of Europa Donna Belgium, Launch a Partnership for Health Information and Education
Mr. Sorin Mierlea, President of InfoCons, met in Brussels on June 11, 2026, with Dr. Mirela Roman, oncologist at Saint-Pierre Hospital Brussels and President of Europa Donna Belgium, to establish a partnership dedicated to promoting information, education, and support for patients, as well as the development of joint projects with an impact in the field of health.
Dr. Mirela Roman is an active figure in the field of healthcare and patient advocacy at the European level, serving as President of Europa Donna Belgium, member of the Board of Directors of the European Europa Donna Coalition, and Vice-President of the Belgian Society of Lymphology. Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in supporting the rights of breast cancer patients and individuals affected by the consequences of oncological treatments, including lymphedema.
The partnership between InfoCons and Dr. Mirela Roman aims to develop joint information and awareness initiatives regarding prevention, access to relevant health information, patients’ rights, and the importance of ongoing dialogue between specialists, organizations, and citizens. At the same time, the collaboration seeks to identify opportunities for cooperation at both national and European levels for the benefit of consumers and patients.
Through this new partnership, InfoCons continues its efforts to expand cooperation with specialists and relevant organizations in areas of interest to consumers, contributing to the promotion of access to useful, accurate, and up-to-date information, as well as supporting projects with a positive impact on citizens’ quality of life and health.
