About the Eastern Anatolia Exporters’ Association – DAIB
The Eastern Anatolia Exporters’ Association – DAIB was established in 1937, following the initiative of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of the modern Republic of Türkiye.
The organisation began its activity as a corporation that directly exported products supplied by livestock breeders and farmers from Eastern Anatolia. Following subsequent legislative changes, DAIB became a semi-governmental organisation dedicated to supporting its members in developing their activities on international markets and increasing their exports.
The Association’s principal mission is to support the sustainable and competitive development of exports. To achieve this objective, DAIB carries out activities such as:
- organising trade and procurement delegations;
- participating in trade fairs and exhibitions;
- implementing projects aimed at improving international competitiveness;
- organising training and information activities;
- supporting access to government export programmes;
- conducting research and analyses concerning markets and export opportunities;
- organising meetings and visits to member companies.
Today, the Eastern Anatolia Exporters’ Association has more than 4,000 members, a significant proportion of whom operate in food production, agriculture and livestock farming.
