International Greek Language Day with a new attitude !

International Greek Language Day is celebrated every year on February 9th, honoring the profound influence of the Greek language throughout history. With a continuous presence spanning 4,000 years, Greek has maintained remarkable consistency in its alphabet while evolving across different eras.

This date was chosen to coincide with the official commemoration of Dionysios Solomos, Greece’s national poet and the author of the country’s national anthem, Hymn to Liberty. The celebration serves as a tribute to the Greek language’s enduring impact on Western civilization and its invaluable contributions to global culture and thought.

On this occasion, the European InfoCons App was developed by InfoCons to support the all Greek citizens. The European InfoCons App is designed for all Greek-speaking communities across Europe and is available in the Greek language to ensure that all citizens are aware of their rights and are directly informed in their native language .
