A representative of InfoCons is participating today, April 30, 2026, in the activities of the second day of the European Workshop within the framework of the “Organic Farming Innovations Network Europe (OH-FINE)” project, organized by Cittadinanzattiva in Rome.

The European workshop organized within the OH-FINE project aims to explore, from the perspective of consumer organizations, the main expectations, concerns, barriers, and enabling factors shaping the relationship between citizens as consumers and organic farming.

OH-FINE seeks to provide European farmers and small landowners with the knowledge, tools and practical support needed to develop a more competitive, sustainable and resilient organic farming sector, capable of responding to changing food market trends and societal expectations. In this context, the consumer perspective is essential. The transition towards more sustainable food systems does not depend only on technical innovation and productive capacity; it also depends on the degree of trust, understanding, accessibility and engagement that the organic sector is able to generate among citizens.

The workshop in Rome therefore represents an opportunity for qualitative exchange among consumer organisations from different European countries, with the aim of identifying common experiences, priorities and concerns, while also recognising national and territorial differences that may influence consumers’ attitudes and choices.

Today’s agenda includes finalizing the messages for the project’s campaign, as well as producing visual materials, namely video recordings and photographs for promotional purposes.

In this context, the discussions will contribute to developing a shared synthesis of the main needs and expectations of European consumers regarding organic products, identifying a set of common key messages, and defining a unified wording framework based on the recurring concepts and expressions emerging from the dialogue. They will also support the creation of a short collective script for the final workshop video.

The workshop brings together representatives of consumer organizations from Romania, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Lithuania, Greece, Bulgaria, Latvia, Slovenia, Poland, and Portugal.
