A conversation on global consumer protection efforts and responsible practices for environmental sustainability across society.
During the roundtable discussion on Intellectual Property held as part of the Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest, InfoCons had the honor of presenting a special video message from Mr. Andrea di Carlo, Deputy Executive Director of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). His intervention highlighted the importance of cooperation, consumer education, and institutional alignment in strengthening the protection of intellectual property across the European Union. The message added valuable European-level perspective to the national dialogue and reinforced the relevance of the summit’s theme.
Following the roundtable, InfoCons actively disseminated Mr. di Carlo’s video across all its communication channels, including both the Romanian and international Facebook and Instagram accounts, as well as the InfoCons YouTube channel and the Romanian and English official websites ( www.infocons.ro and www.infocons.org ). This ensured that his message reached a wide and diverse audience, further amplifying the impact of the event and aligning our communication efforts with EUIPO’s strategic goals.
Enkivers – the digital vault for ideas and visual concepts in the information age!
Enkivers represents a significant technological innovation in the field of intellectual property protection and valorization in the digital era. The Enkivers platform aims to address contemporary challenges regarding the security and management of digital content, offering an integrated solution that combines academic rigor with practical accessibility.
In the current context of accelerated digitization, the Enkivers platform stands out through the implementation of an advanced intellectual property protection system, representing the first European initiative with global applicability in securing visual concepts in the digital environment. Its technological architecture incorporates multiple levels of cybersecurity, implementing the fundamental concept of a “certain date” for the authentication and timestamp validation of digital files.
The applicability of the Enkivers platform spans a broad spectrum of users, including both individuals – content creators, artists, and independent professionals – and legal entities such as commercial organizations and public institutions. The platform facilitates the protection of digital assets in a robust cyber environment, offering technological and legal guarantees for the integrity and confidentiality of stored data.
From a functional perspective, the platform operates on the principle of a secure digital “container”, implementing advanced encryption and authentication protocols. The user interface has been designed according to principles of cognitive ergonomics, thus ensuring an optimal balance between accessibility and security. The system incorporates sophisticated cybersecurity mechanisms, while maintaining an intuitive and efficient user experience.
The platform distinctly differentiates itself from conventional cloud storage solutions by implementing a complex “personal digital vault” system. This innovative approach provides users with multiple competitive advantages: legal protection through mechanisms establishing a “certain date,” a high level of security and confidentiality, and authorized institutional support. Financial accessibility and operational flexibility are complemented by an integrated educational component, facilitating the development of competencies in intellectual property and digital security.
The multidisciplinary character of the Enkivers platform is evident through the integration of expertise from various fields such as cybersecurity, law, education, and technology. This convergence of competencies ensures a holistic approach to the protection and management of intellectual property in today’s digital environment.
In a global economic landscape focused on innovation, Enkivers contributes to the local economy’s ability to generate, protect, and capitalize on knowledge, having a significant impact on the maturation of the innovation ecosystem.

InfoCons Promotion of World Intellectual Property Day Across Digital Channels
During the month of April, the topic of Intellectual Property was actively promoted through the publication of articles, news items, and alerts on the official InfoCons platform, as well as through newsletters and InfoCons’ social media pages, reaching an audience of over 6,050,000 people.
The official platform www.infocons.ro recorded over 147,000 visitors, and through the distribution of newsletters, InfoCons reached an additional 232,544 individuals.
As a result of these posts and newsletters on the topic of Intellectual Property, there were over 79 press appearances, generating a total audience of 5,085,000 people for InfoCons.
In the lead-up to World Intellectual Property Day 2025, InfoCons actively promoted IP-related content across its social media platforms, both on its Romanian and international Facebook and Instagram accounts. Through a series of visually engaging and informative posts, InfoCons raised awareness among a broad and diverse audience, emphasizing key themes such as consumer protection, copyright, innovation, and the fight against counterfeit products. These efforts contributed to sustained public engagement and content sharing in the days surrounding the event. In April 2025, there were more that 80 posts made on our social media accounts related to Intellectual Property.
In addition to its own content, InfoCons also leveraged the official WIPO graphics kit to amplify the global message in a localized context. The materials were adapted and translated into Romanian, then widely disseminated through InfoCons’ national channels to ensure accessibility and cultural relevance. Simultaneously, on the English version of the InfoCons website, the WIPO media and design toolkit was promoted in an updated english form to reach an international audience and support WIPO’s broader visibility efforts.
In addition, InfoCons integrated the official campaign hashtags into all related social media posts to further boost visibility at the national level. These included #WorldIPDay, as well as #IP, #IntellectualProperty, #EUIPO, #WIPO, and other relevant hashtags aligned with the campaign’s core themes, helping to connect local audiences with the global conversation.
Further amplifying these efforts, Mr. Sorin Mierlea, President of InfoCons, addressed the importance of Intellectual Property rights and the dangers of counterfeit goods in a televised segment as part of InfoCons’ media partnership with Trinitas TV. The episode offered valuable insights to viewers on how IP rights affect their everyday lives and how informed consumers can take an active stance against counterfeiting and piracy. In addition to our online and media outreach efforts, InfoCons sent out two dedicated newsletters on the topic of Intellectual Property rights to our entire press and institutional database. The newsletters were the launch of the Enkivers Digital Vault (On April 10, 2025) and World Intellectual Property Day with its theme and InfoCons’ contribution (On April 25, 2025).
The newsletter on April 10 was sent to a total of 116698 recipients, including journalists, public authorities, consumer organizations, academic institutions, and national and international partners.
The newsletter on April 25 was sent to a total of 116107 recipients, these representing the same categories as before. Through this broad distribution, we ensured maximum coverage and reinforced our commitment to transparency and public education.
By leveraging every available communication channel—from social media and websites to television and direct press outreach—InfoCons has delivered a comprehensive, multi-platform campaign aimed at raising consumer awareness on Intellectual Property rights and combating counterfeiting and piracy.
Informing and Educating consumers on Intellectual Property Rights in 2025 !
In the lead-up to World Intellectual Property Day 2025, InfoCons significantly intensified its efforts to raise awareness and educate the public on issues related to Intellectual Property (IP). Through a strategic campaign focused on accessible, relevant, and engaging content, InfoCons aimed to empower consumers with the knowledge needed to understand and protect IP rights in their daily lives.
As a result of these sustained efforts, InfoCons achieved a remarkable digital presence, becoming the top-ranking website in Romania on Google searches for “Intellectual Property”. This success was not incidental, but a direct outcome of consistent content creation, distribution, and optimization targeting a national audience.

On two key dates, this online visibility reached its peak:
- April 10, 2025 — Coinciding with the event organized during the Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest, InfoCons content dominated Google search results, occupying the first 3. (See Annex 1)
- April 26, 2025 — On World Intellectual Property Day itself, InfoCons maintained a strong digital presence, covering most of the first eight pages of Google search results. (See Annex 2)
This achievement highlights InfoCons’ commitment to consumer education and its role as a national leader in promoting the values and importance of intellectual property. By ensuring that reliable, accurate, and user-friendly content was readily available online, InfoCons helped strengthen public understanding of how IP affects innovation, creativity, and consumer protection. Even 2 days after World Intellectual Property Day, InfoCons maintained a strong digital presence with its posts. (See Annex 3)
The platform that enabled InfoCons to achieve top visibility in Romanian Google search rankings is its primary website — available mainly in Romanian — which serves as the central hub for its national awareness campaigns. Over the past few months, the site has featured a series of targeted articles and updates on Intellectual Property, contributing significantly to public engagement and digital reach on the topic. These publications played a key role in propelling InfoCons to the top of search results, reinforcing its leadership in consumer education on IP rights in Romania. The total number of posts in the last month and a half was 121 :

Since 2007, InfoCons has annually organized an event dedicated to World Intellectual Property Day at the Palace of Justice in Bucharest. Over the years, this event has become a tradition, bringing together high-ranking guests, including ministers, ambassadors, and representatives of key national institutions in the field of intellectual property protection.
The event organized in 2012 for World Intellectual Property Day is one of the first to be documented on the InfoCons current website . More information on the 2012 event is available here : https://infocons.ro/infocons-ziua-mondiala-a-proprietatii-intelectuale/
The event organized in 2013 for World Intellectual Property Day contained a series of activities that took place over the course of a week and the specific activities and schedule can be found here : https://infocons.ro/ziua-mondiala-a-proprietatii-intelectuale-25-26-aprilie-2013-curtea-de-apel-bucuresti/
For the event organized in 2014 for World Intellectual Property Day, InfoCons launched the National Campaign “No to Counterfeiting! No to Piracy!” and, with the support of the Bucharest Court of Appeal and the Cultural Center “Casa Artelor” Sector 3, organized a commemorative event that marks both World Intellectual Property Day and the conclusion of a week dedicated to this important field.
The event organized in 2015 for World Intellectual Property Day contained a series of activities and participation in projects such as “A EU operation to develop and enlarge expertise in tackling the trade of fake medicine through the internet – OPERATION HIPPOCRATES” , A project aimed at developing and strengthening expertise on the trade of counterfeit medicines over the internet through the exchange of best practices.
The 2016 event celebrating World Intellectual Property Day continued the tradition established in previous years, once again taking place at the esteemed Bucharest Court of Appeal. This symbolic venue, known for its legal and institutional significance, provided a fitting setting for discussions on the value and role of intellectual property in modern society.
The event gathered numerous distinguished guests, including legal experts, government officials, academics, and representatives of civil society, all of whom contributed to a series of meaningful dialogues. Their discussions focused on the importance of intellectual property rights in fostering innovation, safeguarding creativity, and ensuring the economic and personal rights of creators and inventors.
In the years that followed, this tradition has not only endured but evolved. InfoCons has remained firmly committed to organizing the annual event at the Bucharest Court of Appeal, reinforcing its role as a national leader in promoting awareness around intellectual property. Each year, the event has served as both a celebration and a platform for education, bringing together diverse stakeholders from the public and private sectors.

These campaigns, enriched with articles, expert interviews, and video messages, have leveraged digital platforms to maximize public engagement. InfoCons’ use of social media, newsletters, and its official websites has ensured wide visibility and accessibility. Educating European Youth through the A.C.T.I.V.E. Project – Dedicated to World Intellectual Property Day 2025
InfoCons launched the A.C.T.I.V.E. project in 2023, an initiative that actively promotes the protection of intellectual property. The main objectives of this project are to increase awareness among European youth about the importance of protecting intellectual property rights and the negative effects of infringing those rights, to reduce the consumption of counterfeit goods and digital content from illegal sources, and to encourage the younger generation to actively engage in safeguarding intellectual property rights.
The official A.C.T.I.V.E. social media pages were also used during April 2025 in order to promote information regarding World Intellectual Property Day 2025 and educate consumers worldwide on the importance of Intellectual Property Rights. The main pages used for the dissemination of the information were @a.c.t.i.v.e._ro , @a.c.t.i.v.e._bulgaria and @a.c.t.i.v.e._greece on Instagram and Active RO, Active Bulgaria and Active Greece.
Since its founding, InfoCons has been consistently dedicated to educating and protecting consumers against the dangers associated with counterfeit products. These counterfeit goods, often of inferior and unsafe quality, can pose significant health and safety risks to consumers.
To counter this, InfoCons has organized and carried out numerous awareness campaigns over the years. These initiatives have been crucial in educating the public on how to identify counterfeit goods and in raising awareness about the broader implications of purchasing and using such products – ranging from economic losses to supporting criminal activities.
Through its sustained efforts during April 2025, InfoCons has taken significant strides in aligning consumer protection with the global principles of intellectual property. By fostering informed consumer habits, promoting transparency, and encouraging responsible consumption, the organization has not only contributed to the observance of World Intellectual Property Day but also laid groundwork for lasting change in public perception and behavior toward intellectual property.
Looking ahead, InfoCons remains committed to expanding its reach, deepening partnerships, and continuously innovating its educational and technological tools. The fight against counterfeiting, plagiarism, and misinformation requires ongoing vigilance—and with empowered consumers at the center, progress is both possible and sustainable.
